MDE-LIO is now taking registrations for a Regional On-Demand Braille Class in Saginaw for parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, and other personnel who work with students who are blind or have a visual impairment. There will be 16 two-hour sessions.

This class requires a textbook and companion reader. Participants may purchase the most current edition of both books from MDE-LIO at a discounted price of $80 (recommended). Participants are also welcome to borrow both books for the duration of the course at no charge, provided they are returned undamaged with no writings or markings in them. However, it is recommended that the books are purchased, if possible, to allow for marking/highlighting and keeping for future reference.

Participants who satisfactorily complete the class requirements will receive a certificate.
