Students who have a visual impairment and read braille are invited to participate in the 2020 Braille Challenge, an academic competition unlike any other. This two-stage contest is designed to motivate students who are blind to emphasize their study of braille, while rewarding their success with fun-filled, but challenging, regional and national events.
This year’s Michigan Regional Braille Challenge will provide fun for the whole family, including:
- Exciting door prizes
- Activities for siblings
- A hands-on assistive technology workshop for parents
After this initial round, students who qualify will be invited to compete in the Braille Challenge Finals on June 26-27 in Los Angeles.
In addition to registering online, participants will need to download and fill out a Braille Challenge Permission Form [PDF] for this event. Please complete the form and bring it with you to the event, or mail or fax it to our office:
