Hit the Right Notes With Our 2018 Summer Reading Program

May 22, 2018

This year's summer reading program is rockin'! The program features a music theme and runs June 24 through August 5. All components of the program are designed to be completed at home, so students across Michigan can participate.

The reading program has three separate challenges:

  • Create Your Own Sound: Build an instrument with materials provided.

  • This is Your Jam: Come up with a verse for your very own song.

  • Reading Rocks: Read at least three books with a music theme during the program.

This program is a collaboration between MDE-LIO and the Michigan Braille and Talking Book Library (BTBL).

Please register by June 30. To register, email BTBL Youth Librarian Stephanie Wambaugh at wambaughs@michigan.gov or call the library at 1-800-992-9012.
