$50 for adult family members of students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing
This class will focus on American Sign Language (ASL) basics, including signs for everyday use. Adults with at least one child in their family who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) are invited to participate.
Participants will identify and apply:
- Basic ASL structure
- Communication strategies with basic, everyday ASL signs
- Facial expressions using ASL grammar
This class will be conducted online via Zoom; participants do not need to have Zoom, but they must have internet access and a computer with a camera. Instructions will be provided beforehand on how to access the class. Attendees must be able to log into and participate in this class individually; this course is not conducive to group participation.
