The matrix above lists courses approved by the MDE for an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH). Courses may be added or eliminated after consultation with the institution offering the course.
Approved Consortium ASL I and II Courses
American Sign Language (ASL) I and II from the approved Consortium ASL course list are required before applying for the practicum unless the student can document a Level 2 on the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview. Most ASL courses are face-to-face format. All of the following offer both ASL I and II.
