Description

Registration will open in July 2025.

Come out to Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T) and join friends for fun with sports, led by experienced adult athletes who are blind/low vision (BLV), including Camp T staff and members of the Michigan Blind Athletic Association! Campers will participate in team-building exercises and learn about various adaptive sports, including goalball, a team sport designed for athletes who are BLV. Camp will conclude with an exciting goalball tournament on Sunday morning! Don’t miss this opportunity to play games and make fun memories with your camp friends.


Audience

This event is for students in Michigan, ages 10-17, who are BLV.

Description

Test your skills for creating delicious dishes! Join us at Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T) for a couple of fun days in the kitchen along with some built-in evening camp activities! We will be creating sweet bread, paninis, pastries, veggie pizza, shepherd’s pie, and a Mediterranean couscous bowl!  Learn how to cut and peel veggies, grill a sandwich, brown meat, and prepare fun food fit for serving guests! Families are invited to join us on Saturday night to enjoy dinner with their Top Chefs before heading home!


Audience

This event is for middle- and high-school students (11-17 years old) in Michigan who are blind/low vision and interested in learning to cook and bake.

Description

This overnight water-themed event at Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T) will have campers giggling and splashing all day long! We will explore all the wonderful things we can do with water, including swimming, boating, fishing, and exciting water games. We will also spend some time in Camp T’s new Sassafras Science and Nature Center, participating in fun science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities involving water and the fascinating creatures who live there. Come and dive right in as you create lasting memories with friends!


Audience

This camp is for students in Michigan, ages 6-11, who are blind/low vision.
