Description

Camp Tuhsmeheta will host an outreach program at Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC). Located on Detroit’s riverfront in the historic Globe Building, the OAC will give families a taste of Michigan’s great outdoors in the heart of the city. Come and experience exciting outdoor adventures with hands-on activities, exhibits, simulators, and more.

Audience

This event is for families of school-age children in Michigan who are Blind or Visually Impaired. Parent/adult supervision is required.

Accommodations

It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
