This one-day event at Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T) will offer outdoor/indoor recreation, sports activities, and time with family and friends in collaboration with the Michigan Blind Athletic Association. Paralympians John Kusku and Tyler Merren will help lead a goalball session. Participants will also enjoy activities such as beep kickball and beep baseball, weather permitting. Don’t miss this great opportunity!
Participants will practice:
- adaptive recreation and sports skills
- orientation and mobility skills
- social skills
This event is for school-age students in Michigan who are Blind/Visually Impaired and their families.
It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
