Description

Break out your passport for an exciting virtual adventure! Michigan families with school-age children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) are encouraged to join our virtual DHH Around the World Adventure on May 15. During this event, families will explore the languages, foods, traditions, and wildlife of four different countries. A package will be mailed to each family the week of May 3 and will include sample foods, activities, and props for the adventure.

Captioning and an American Sign Language interpreter will be available during this event.

Participants will:

  • Have fun learning about four different countries around the world
  • Develop expressive and receptive language skills
  • Interact with MDE-LIO staff and other families while on their adventure
