$25 for school personnel supporting students in east Michigan who are DHH

$12.50 for college students in east Michigan studying DHH-related professions


Learn from, and network with, your colleagues on the east side of Michigan who serve students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH)! This half-day event will include a specially-recorded presentation by Dr. Tina Childress, an educational audiologist who is widely respected for her knowledge and expertise with cochlear implants, assistive technology, aural rehabilitation, and the social-emotional implications of hearing loss on children. Childress' presentation will provide the most up-to-date and effective resources and tools for technology, connectivity, online learning, and accessibility for students who are DHH.

The second part of the event will allow time for attendees to "swap," or share, resources and ideas. Each attendee will take a few minutes to share an effective tool, resource, practice, or activity for supporting the needs of children and students who are DHH and their families. Attendees will also have time to share common challenges, brainstorm solutions, and network with others. Notes and resources will be captured and shared after the event.

This workshop has been approved for 3 SCECHs.


This event is for school personnel serving students who are DHH ages birth to 26 on the east side of Michigan. This includes teachers of students who are DHH, teacher consultants, educational audiologists, speech-language pathologists, early interventionists, special educators, and administrators.
