Description
Registration will open in February 2023.
Learn about Earth while enjoying the natural beauty of Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T)! Families will engage in activities that will help them understand the planet we call home. They will even enjoy a visit from John Ball Zoo’s traveling wildlife exhibit.
Participants will:
- learn about planet Earth and nature
- engage in recreation activities
- practice independent living skills through cooking and day-to-day tasks
Audience
This event is for school-age students in Michigan who are Blind/Visually Impaired and their families.
Required Camper Forms
In addition to registering, attendees are required to fill out a camper information form packet for this event. Please download and complete the packet below, including as much information as you can for your entire group. Bring the completed packet with you on the day of the event.
Accommodations
It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
