Join us at Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T) for a fun weekend event. This event will offer recreation activities, wildlife investigations, cooking, a campfire, and more! Families will learn about how nature prepares for winter and how shorter days also affect humans. This is a great opportunity for children who are Blind or Visually Impaired and their families to learn about Camp T. You won’t want to sleep through this camp!
Participants will learn and practice:
- adaptive recreation skills
- adaptive cooking skills
- orientation and mobility skills
- social skills
This event is for school-age students in Michigan who are Blind/Visually Impaired and their families.
Required Camper Forms
In addition to registering, attendees are required to fill out a camper information form packet for this event. Please download and complete the packet below, including as much information as you can for your entire group. Bring the completed packet with you on the day of the event.
It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
