Description
Do you know an elementary student in the mainstream setting who would like to connect with other children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH)? This event will allow students to have fun and connect with others around Michigan who understand their unique experiences.
Audience
This event is for Michigan students in grades 1-5 who are DHH.
Required Technology
To access this event, participants must have reliable internet access and a computer with a camera. This live webinar will be held via Zoom. Participants do not need to have a Zoom account to participate in the webinar, although you might be prompted to download a plugin. Online Event Expectations
Participants are expected to be respectful and courteous to others during this event. MDE-LIO reserves the right to mute, turn off video, and/or remove participants who do not adhere to this expectation.
Accommodations
An American Sign Language interpreter and captioning will be provided during this event. It is important for participants to request any other accommodations at least three weeks prior to the online event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
