At this virtual event, middle-school and high-school students are invited to meet other students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) from across the state. Students will have an opportunity to connect, have fun, and learn from each other’s unique experiences.

Audience

This event is for Michigan students in grades 6-12 who are DHH.

Required Technology

To access this event, participants must have reliable internet access and a computer with a camera. This live webinar will be held via Zoom. Participants do not need to have a Zoom account to participate in the webinar, although you might be prompted to download a plugin. Online Event Expectations

Participants are expected to be respectful and courteous to others during this event. MDE-LIO reserves the right to mute, turn off video, and/or remove participants who do not adhere to this expectation.

Accessibility Accommodations

It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations (e.g., American Sign Language interpreter, captioning) at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies our office contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
