Join MDE-LIO and orientation and mobility (O&M) professionals from around Michigan for a hands-on workshop focused on navigation apps and cortical visual impairment (CVI) strategies. Participants will spend time learning and practicing navigation apps that can be used with students during their O&M lessons. We will also share CVI strategies you can use immediately. There will be time to collaborate and share ideas from the field.
Audience
This event is for orientation and mobility (O&M) professionals and college students who are working toward becoming O&M professionals. Participants need to know how to download and access apps on their smartphone.
Accommodations
It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
