Join MDE-LIO Education Consultant Pat Love-Sypho and the Technology Team for another informative and exciting Talk Tech Tuesday series!
In this free webinar series, learn skills and techniques for teaching access technology (AT) to students who are Blind or Low Vision (BLV). Each free session will be held the last Tuesday of every other month through May 2025. These webinars are open to anyone who would like to:
- acquire knowledge and brush up on their AT skills
- learn about recent AT updates
- obtain resources
- learn techniques for teaching AT
This session will include a presentation with time for questions.
Audience
School personnel, parents, college students studying BLV professions, and high-school students in grades 10-12 are welcome to attend.
Required Technology
This event will be conducted online via Zoom; participants do not need to have Zoom, but they must have internet access and a computer with a camera.
Online Event Expectations
Participants are expected to be respectful and courteous to others during this event. MDE-LIO reserves the right to mute, turn off video, and/or remove participants who do not adhere to this expectation.
Accommodations
It is important for participants to request accessibility accommodations at least three weeks prior to the event. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
