Description

Last year’s Screen Reader Showdown generated so much excitement that we decided to bring it back for this year’s Talk Tech Tuesday!

Interested in hearing what MDE-LIO Technology Team Instructors Ather and Jesse have to say about your favorite screen reader? Join them for an engaging discussion on what is new and upcoming with JAWS and NVDA 2024 using Windows.

This presentation will include:

  • new features introduced in JAWS 2024, as well as features introduced in JAWS 2023 that were not discussed at last year’s Screen Reader Showdown
  • what the NVDA developers have been implementing into the latest update of NVDA
  • information about connecting the Assistive Technology Guidelines to screen readers
  • advantages and disadvantages for using each screen reader in terms of using internal and external braille input methods
