Education Consultant Lynn Pensari will retire after 25 years of teaching and five years of supporting educators and families at MDE-LIO.

At MDE-LIO, Lynn has served as a leader for the cortical visual impairment team, conducting statewide training and assisting with assessments and interventions. She has also led the independent living skills (ILS) team, including conducting workshops, creating guidance documents, and working on an ILS parent partnership.

In 2018, Lynn received the Michigan Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (MAER) Award for support she provided to Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District. The award is given to those who have made a significant contribution to serving people who are Blind or Visually Impaired.

Lynn's work at MDE-LIO has been instrumental in providing leadership and consultation services to the field. We wish her the very best in her retirement!
