At MDE-LIO, we hope you have been able to join us for our monthly LIVE With LIO webinars. These webinars offer valuable information on topics related to supporting students who are Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI). If you are looking for more information in a similar setting, here are a few extra resources:
CVI for the TVI
Perkins School for the Blind offers a monthly webinar series on cortical visual impairment (CVI). The webinars are intended for teachers for the visually impaired (TVIs), but other professionals may sign up and participate. All topics are related to working with students who have CVI. Recorded webinars are available to view anytime.
Outreach Coffee Hour
Join Texas School for the Blind twice a week as they discuss topics related to supporting families and students who are Blind/Visually Impaired (BVI) or who are DeafBlind. If you can’t attend a session, the recorded webinars are available on the TSBVI Outreach Coffee Hour Recordings and Handouts page.
Tuesday Tea Hosted by CSB
This monthly webinar series from California School for the Blind (CSB) covers topics related to teaching students who are BVI. (You might notice that MDE-LIO Education Consultant Amanda English presented on an independent living skills resource in April!) All sessions are recorded and can be viewed at any time. Sign up once, and they will send you a link to join each month.
