MDE-LIO would like to welcome Elizabeth Flores to our team as a DHH Project Manager! She will oversee the DHH Consortium for Teacher Preparation work as well as special projects. Flores will also co-lead the team on implementing LEAD-K (PA 256) in Michigan.
Flores worked in higher education for 23 years and served as the teacher certification officer and education advisor for Aquinas College. Since 2013, she has facilitated the DHH Consortium on behalf of the Michigan Department of Education. Flores became Aquinas College’s assistant registrar in 2015 and advanced to registrar and academic advising director in 2019.
Flores earned her Bachelor of Science in international business and Spanish from Aquinas College and her Master of Science in organization development from Saint Joseph's University.
