Read the 2024 MDE-LIO Annual Report

In Fiscal Year 2024, MDE-LIO continued offering events for students, their families, and school personnel. We also continued implementing Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD-K) legislation in Michigan and collaborated to create a new guidance document on the determination of eligibility for Michigan Mandatory Special Education for children ages birth to three.
