From MDE RBLV Director and American Printing House for the Blind (APH) Ex-Officio Trustee Roxanne Balfour:
Our American Printing House for the Blind (APH) Federal Quota funds have been fully expended for the 2025–2026 school year. This means we will not have funds to “order” any new supplies, products, or equipment until new funds become available on October 1, 2026. However, if we have inventory in stock, we will fulfill requests.
When you access our Library Management System, you can easily search for items and the system will display the available quantities on the right side of each listing. If an item is currently out of stock, you’re welcome to check back later. If you need materials or books before October 1, please work with your district to make the necessary purchases.
Priority will be given to those requesting available materials for extended school year and other programs in which students need materials during the summer months. We encourage all other requests to be placed when you return from the summer recess.
Please check your APH inventory that you currently have on hand; if it was purchased by MDE RBLV with Federal Quota funds and it is not being used, it should be returned to our office. Returning any unused products or equipment helps us support more teachers and stretch our funds further.
You can return materials to our office at:
