School personnel and adult family members of students with Neurological Visual Impairment (NVI) are invited to attend a half-day workshop geared toward supporting students' literacy skills. MDE-LIO will offer another workshop, Introduction to Neurological Visual Impairment, in the morning. SCECHs are pending.

Participants will learn:

  • How to recognize the visual behaviors of students across all three phases of cortical visual impairment (CVI) 
  • Guiding principles for accommodations and program planning
  • How to determine accommodations for literacy
