Description
PowerPoint presentations are frequently used in K-12 classrooms. Students who are Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) should be introduced to and comfortable with using PowerPoint as a learning tool. They should also be able to create their own accessible PowerPoint slides.
Want to learn strategies and techniques for teaching students how to create and navigate PowerPoint presentations with JAWS? Join the MDE-LIO assistive technology team for a hands-on workshop that will cover important tasks, keyboard commands, creating slides, and JAWS and Microsoft PowerPoint features. Participants will be given a PowerPoint curriculum along with other resources to assist them in teaching this great program to students!
Participants will learn how to:
- Open and explore PowerPoint
- Create a title slide
- Insert and delete slides
- Use JAWS keyboard commands to navigate a PowerPoint presentation
